A Lil' Bit About Myself
(That's me on the right by the way)
I've been into art since before I can remember. My parents say I have been constantly drawing since I've been able to pick up a crayon. Which isnt an exaggeration at all. They've always dragged me along to all kinds of fun school sporting events, concerts, etc. Which I absolutely hated. I sat there bored, usually doodling on programs or any scrap piece of paper I could get my hands on. At every event I usually was the little girl that sat there, drawing people's portraits. Although now I'm glad they did; it has made me what I am today, plus, now i know many useless sports knowledge too.
Throughout grade school and middle school I was in advanced art, until I dropped out 8th grade from Studio in Art. And I'm sure you're probably asking why... I couldn't stand the teacher. But I retook it my freshman year in high school, which was taught by a great teacher. You can see a great improvement in my work since then. The year before last i had another bad teacher, so, i'm done with art classes for a while at least.

Some of My Accomplishments
I enter every local contest that I can. I've entered poster contests at a local grocery store twice; one for Easter where I got first place, and one for the superbowl where I recieved third place. Every year I enter art in the county fair. This year I got five 1st place, two 2nd place and one 3rd place. Last year I recieved 8 1st place, one best of section, the special merit award. The year before I got three 1st place. This last year I entered two pieces of my art in the state fair. I've entered a painting for a contest at the Rockwell Museum of Western Art, and a painting in a spring coloring contest at a local bank. I have also entered a painting in the A&E "Make an Impression" student contest.
Other than art, I'm an A+ student, during the school year i'm basically busy with schoolwork. I'm going to highschool, and college. I'm in the National Honor Society and in the top 15% of my class. Also i'm in the Spanish Club and Interact Club.

Other Than Art
Lately art hasn't been a big part of my life. I haven't had the spare time to start anything new with the end of school and finals and all, but i hope to get some new stuff soon. I hope to get lots and lots of pictures to paint from on my vacation out west. But other than art, i like horseback riding, shopping, swimming, that kind of stuff. I'm interested in architecture and interior design. I love designing and figuring out solutions to make a building better. I like remodeling and refinishing things also. The year before last i refinished an old dresser that i had, scraped 5 layers of paint off, sanded and stained it. Last year i redid a bedroom, which was a lot of work. I also love languages and learning about other cultures. I'm in my 7th year of Spanish.
